Good value for a 3-day trip

I got the 3-Day Istanbul Pass for my recent trip. I was looking to save money and this seemed like a decent option. Compared to buying individual tickets for everything I wanted to see, it really did save me a good chunk of cash. The skip-the-line at Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace was super helpful, definitely felt worth the purchase just for that. I didn't see any big discounts when I bought it, but even at full price for the pass, it felt like good value for what I got.

Worked out great

I got the 2-Day Istanbul Pass. The whole process was smooth, from ordering to getting the pass on my phone. The skip-the-line at Basilica Cistern saved us a bunch of time. I also used it for the Blue Mosque Guided Tour. Good value.

Easy to use

Used the 2-Day Istanbul Pass. It was easy to activate. Skip-the-line worked well for Basilica Cistern. Simple and effective for sightseeing.

Mostly good, some minor points

I purchased the 7-Day Istanbul Pass for my family and overall, it was a positive experience. The value for money was pretty good, especially with all the attractions we visited like the Blue Mosque and the Whirling Dervishes Show. The digital guidebook was a nice extra. My only small complaint was that booking some of the guided tours required an extra step or two, not always as seamless as I expected right after activation. Also, the Public Transportation Card wasn't included directly, which would have made things even easier. But we still saved money and had a great time.

Good pass, some minor issues

I bought a 3-Day Istanbul Pass for my trip. It was pretty handy for getting into places like Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace without waiting too long. The digital guidebook was okay, but I still used Google Maps a lot. My main gripe was with booking some of the guided tours; it wasn't always super clear how to reserve a spot. Customer service via WhatsApp was quick to reply when I had a question about the Sapphire Observation Deck, which was a plus. Overall, it saved me money compared to buying individual tickets, but the booking process could be smoother.

So much fun!

Oh my goodness, the Istanbul Tourist Pass was absolutely fantastic! I got the 5-Day Pass and it made my whole trip so easy and exciting. The Bosphorus Dinner Cruise was amazing, and getting into the Dolmabahce Palace without waiting in line was a dream. I used the WhatsApp support a couple of times for quick questions and they were super responsive. I'm already planning my next trip and will definitely, definitely be using this again. I've been telling all my friends they have to get one!

Consistent and reliable

This was my third time using the Istanbul Tourist Pass. I went with the 7-Day Istanbul Pass this time. Just like before, it was easy to activate and use for attractions. I particularly liked the Bosphorus Dinner Cruise. The skip-the-line feature worked well for Dolmabahce Palace. Their WhatsApp support has always been responsive, which is a big reason I keep coming back. No surprises, just a solid experience.

Is the Istanbul Tourist Pass the same as the Istanbul E-Pass? I'm so confused, they both sound super similar.

L Luke Flores 2 weeks ago
They're different companies, but offer similar stuff. Both are digital passes with attractions. I think the Istanbul Tourist Pass usually has more options though.
2
S Susan B. 1 week ago
Not the same. I compared them before my trip and ended up going with the Tourist Pass because it had a couple more tours I wanted, like the Whirling Dervishes.

Are there ever any decent promo codes for this pass? Looking to save a few bucks if possible.

S Sarah Wright 1 week ago
Keep an eye out around holidays like Black Friday or New Year's, they usually have something then. Sometimes you can find 10-15% off codes. Also, signing up for their newsletter might get you one.

M Melissa T. 1 week ago
Yeah, totally. I usually just Google 'Istanbul Tourist Pass promo code' before buying. Sometimes there's an early bird discount too if you book way in advance. Don't expect huge savings but 5-10% is common.

Does anyone know if the regular Museum Pass Istanbul is included with this tourist pass? I saw some info online but it wasn't super clear.

E Elizabeth D. 3 weeks ago
Nah, it's not the same thing. The regular Museum Pass is separate, I think it covers different places or has a different focus. This one has its own list of attractions.

E Eric Hernandez 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure they're different passes. The Tourist Pass includes some museums but it's not the official Museum Pass Istanbul, if that makes sense. You'd have to check the specific attraction list to see what's covered.

Does the pass include public transport? Or do I need to buy a separate card for the metro and stuff?

M Matt Rodriguez 1 month ago
No, it doesn't. You'll need to get an Istanbulkart for public transport, it's pretty easy to get at stations though.
3
R Richard 1 month ago
Definitely separate. The pass is just for attractions and tours. You can buy the public transport card with the pass when you purchase it online, or just get it when you land at the airport or metro station.

Thinking of getting the 3-day pass for my trip in October. Are there usually any sales around that time? Don't want to buy now if there's a big discount coming up.

H Hannah Nelson 5 days ago
October is usually autumn sale time, so you might catch something. Black Friday is after that though, if you can wait a bit longer for potentially bigger savings.

J Jacob Gomez 5 days ago
I'd keep an eye out. They do seasonal stuff pretty often. I got a decent discount on a 5-day pass last year around late September/early October, like 10-15% off.
